High School Diploma or GED, required 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience in a health care setting, preferred Emergency Department registration experience, strongly preferred Knowledge of various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid) and payors, required Basic understanding of medical terminology Excellent customer service Working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Outlook), strongly preferred Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication Fluency in both English & Spanish is a requirement in the El Paso Market Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), & Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.
