QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the COTA:<ul><li>Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist</li><li>Conduct therapeutic activities, exercises, and treatments to improve patients' functional abilities.</li><li>Monitor and document patients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary in consultation with the occupational therapist.</li><li>Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and techniques to enhance daily living skills.</li><li>Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to coordinate patient care.</li><li>Regularly participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and billing information in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Assist occupational therapists with the assessment of patients’ functional abilities and limitations.</li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of occupational therapy services.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
