The primary responsibilities would be to support cross-platforms next-generation sequencing analysis, build genome assemblies, develop and deploy new analysis method to mine and integrate multi-omics internal data. In depth understanding of genomic technologies including Illumina-based short read sequencing, PacBio SMRT platform and long-read Nanopore sequencing.

Ideal candidate- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computer Science or Molecular Biology. Software programming exp, must be able to write script, understand the python language with bench work being a bonus. In depth understanding of genomic technologies including Illumina-based short read sequencing, PacBio SMRT platform and long-read Nanopore sequencing. Hands-on experience in basic molecular biology techniques and NGS library preparation. Proficiency in scripting languages and associated packages, including but not limited to R, Python or Perl. Expertise with standard bioinformatics tools and statistical methods such as, but not limited to STAR, bowtie, bwa, samtools, bedtools. The Cell Line Development/Genetic Characterization group is looking for a candidate with bioinformatics expertise and a biology background. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computer Science or Molecular Biology In depth understanding of genomic technologies including Illumina-based short read sequencing, PacBio SMRT platform and long-read Nanopore sequencing. Hands-on experience in basic molecular biology techniques and NGS library preparation. Experience with cloud computing infrastructure and Unix environment Proficiency in scripting languages and associated packages, including but not limited to R, Python or Perl. Expertise with standard bioinformatics tools and statistical methods such as, but not limited to STAR, bowtie, bwa, samtools, bedtools. Expertise with sequence and structural variant analysis method (e.g.GATK, FusorSV, Freebayes, delly,). Expertise with standard genome assembly approach and hybrid mapping method ( e.g. Metassembler, SOAPdenovo2, ALLPATHS‐LG) Working experience with genome annotation and prediction method (e.g. Trinity, Maker) Experience developing and documenting analysis pipeline to integrate multi-omics data. Develop and update SOPs for variant curation, interpretation, and reclassification workflows Participate in submitting curated variants to public databases (e.g. ClinVar) and contribute to quality improvement and test development initiatives. Collaborate with clinicians, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff to support accurate and timely reporting. Somatic variant curation experience is a plus. Strong working knowledge of laboratory genetics and genomics, including target capture, amplification, and massively parallel sequencing. Familiarity with widely used genomic tools such as IGV and UCSC/COSMIC genome browsers Ability to establish effective working relationships with clinicians, genetic counselors, and other team members. Programming or bioinformatics experience (e.g. R, SAS, Perl, Python, regex, database design) – preferred. PhD in human genetics, molecular genetics, cancer biology, or a related discipline – preferred. Master's degree in molecular biology, genetics, or a closely related field may be considered with relevant experience.
