Drives passenger vehicles ranging from 9-65 passenger capacity, consisting of pick-up and delivery of students with developmental disabilities to and from their homes/schools within Stark County; Complies with all Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws, safety rules as established by the Ohio Department of Education and Board Transportation Policies and Procedures; Reports delays or accidents; Completes daily paperwork as per procedure, maintaining accurate records of all passengers transported; Completes documentation of all incidents and accidents as they occur; Performs bus safety pre and post-trip inspections as required by Law to assure vehicle is in proper working condition; Maintains all safety equipment, and communicates all defects and maintenance needs; Maintains a safe and sanitary bus environment; Knows the proper use of securing devices for safety vest, wheelchairs, car seats and seatbelts; Attends all program wide in-services and other training programs as assigned. Must maintain a valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with School Bus Endorsement, and possess a driving abstract reflecting less than six (6) points.
