Listed below are examples of typical job duties: Reads water meters on an assigned route and records readings in hand-held device for billings; checks condition of meters and boxes; inspects, cleans, reports or replaces broken, or worn out meters; Installs, repairs and maintains water, sanitary and storm sewer line and apparatus such as fire hydrants, valves, manholes and catch basins, etc.
