Key Responsibilities Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set by the project managers based off client needs Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub-consultants Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project team Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Licensed PE or ability and interest to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration Thorough understanding of civil site development (i.e., Site Plans, Permitting, Grading, Storm Water Management, Storm Water Design) Experience supporting or managing nuclear site development projects, including familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety protocol Minimum Qualifications Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience. The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and will assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design culvert design, and pavement design, etc Contribute to the planning and design of complex site development projects, including emerging and large-scale nuclear facilities Professional will have hands-on involvement in permitting process Professional will have significant interaction with multi- disciplinary internal teams and external clients As this position supports the global nuclear program at Black & Veatch, any potential offer will be conditional on the individual being able to satisfy all requirements, including citzenship requirements, outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations 10 CFR 810.
