The majority of this positions responsibilities will involve supporting the construction and implementation of CHYM traffic signal projects, including field inspection of contractor work, review of installation activities for consistency with plans and specifications, documentation of construction progress, identification of field conflicts, and coordination with NDOT staff, consultants, contractors, utilities, and other agencies. This work may include conducting field observations, documenting existing roadway and traffic-control conditions, identifying potential signing and pavement-marking improvements, collecting basic field measurements and information, assisting in the development of work orders, and providing field information needed to respond to traffic engineering requests.
