Duties include: apply data mining, data modeling, machine learning, statistical analyses, performance metrics, and predictive and descriptive modeling to extract and manipulate data from multiple large data sources and inform solutions for business analytics teams; utilize data-oriented programming languages and visualization software to explore, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data and effectively communicate insights to inform business decisions; compare modeling techniques using statistical performance metrics and recommend improvements; structure data analysis to drive analytics insights and determine the effectiveness of programs, initiatives, and team performance evaluations; visualize, interpret, and report data findings to internal clients and leadership, and create presentations summarizing results, optimization opportunities, and remediation actions; collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and develop statistical analysis and predictive models to evaluate scenarios, predict outcomes, and provide usable information on health metrics and potential future outcomes; design experiments to test hypothesis and quantify impacts of improvement initiatives; design and develop data science solutions using industry leading tools, technologies and best practices; mentor junior team members; independently lead development of solutions with high complexity and risk, and set priorities and strategy for the analytics organization; and consult on the creation of analytics solutions that effectively weigh business strategy and technical tradeoffs relevant to big data environment. Requires three (3) years of experience in each of the following: Review of designs and technical solution for web applications and software development projects; Testing Tools: Selenium, JIRA, or Rally; Programming Languages: Java Script, AS400, SQL or Python; Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, or MS Access; Operating Systems: Windows, ISO, or Linux; CI/CD Tool: Jenkins or Maven; and Cloud Technologies: Amazon AWS, GCP, Dynamo DB, S3, Lambda, Cloud Watch, or EC2.
