DUTIES OF THE MRI TECHNOLOGIST : Independently performs complex computerized 2D and 3D MRI scanning, and establishes various parameters, flip angles, matrices, signal averages, Field Of Views (FOVs), Inversion Times (TIs), center frequencies, gradient echoes, saturation bands, graphic Rx, true resolutions, rectangular FOVs, phase and frequency encodings, volume fast scan (3D), fat or water suppressions, contrast uptake post processes, spectroscopies, stealth tumor localizations, cardiac and peripheral gatings, respiratory compensations, velocity encodings, and slice thicknesses/gappings, in order to produce optimum Signal to Noise Ratios (SNRs)to provide physicians with information required to complete a diagnosis. Performs magnetic resonance imaging in clinical and inpatient settings, to include routine and specialized examinations of heads, spines, extremities, and bodies to include specialized cardiac imaging, adult and pediatric sedation examinations, whole body imaging, cardiac and brain perfusion, brain and whole-body spectroscopy, liver elastography, breast imaging and biopsy procedures.
