Ability to perform various clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering immunizations, injections for a skin test, drawing blood, running laboratory tests, performing EKGs, removing sutures, and assisting with minor surgical procedures. Completion of an approved medical assistant training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
