Report critical labs/diagnostic test values to physician; communicate test results to patients per physician instruction; arrange hospital cath procedures; obtain orders, patient instructions, appropriate prescriptions from physician; complete pre-certification; provide patient and family education, i.e. procedures, tests, medication, nutrition health/wellness. Serve as a clinical resource for patients, practice staff and physicians; participate in training, orientation and education of new employees; oversee maintenance and quality control of medications, emergency equipment, crash cart, stocking of exam and procedure rooms, lab controls, sharps/biohazard.
