Participates in fire and civil defense drills and maintains a current state of emergency preparedness, including immediate access to names and phone numbers to be called in the event of an emergency; provides site security, emergency contact and response and maintains good working relationships with adjacent land owners; ensures the general security of all buildings and grounds, securing doors, windows and gates when facility closes or as required or requested. Assists with overall building maintenance, repair and operation to include HVAC systems, basic plumbing and electrical, appliances, roofing, doors, windows, and paint; constructs and maintains all accessory outbuildings/structures including doors, windows, siding and roofs, also stove cleaning, chimney sweeping, wood stocking and cleaning outhouses weekly.
