Mornings are primarily devoted to care of the horses, including feeding, turnout, grooming, bathing, groundwork, use of the walker or round pen, and helping younger horses become comfortable with handling and new experiences. The ideal individual will have solid practical horse knowledge and be comfortable feeding, turning horses in and out, grooming, exercising horses from the ground, administering basic medications or injections, and recognizing signs of colic, illness, or injury.
