This is accomplished through the monitoring of clinical skills of providers, providing clinical and practice management support, coaching, and mentoring to clinical providers, participation in the performance improvement process, assisting in the development of policies and procedures used to ensure quality patient care and the orientation of new providers, and providing support for strategy for the clinic regarding integration of care across clinic services lines as well as other services in the organization, and move towards value based care. The Associate Medical Director (AMD) is an entry level leadership role that will be trained in FQHC compliance and operations, oversight of a community health center, clinical quality and excellence, fiscal planning, budgeting, staff management and supervision, clinical leadership, visioning for clinical care in an integrated setting, and value based care.
