The Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) is responsible for evaluating appropriateness of patient imaging examination including protocoling, indications and contraindications, lab data, explaining risks and benefits of procedures and obtaining informed consent, working with referring physician offices to gather relevant history, reviewing imaging and facilitating the appropriate procedures as needed. As applicable, the RRA will assist medical students, residents and fellows rotating through the department, teach other health care professionals about the management of patients in Radiology, and provide leadership in the assigned Division’s practice to resolve problems and improve patient care.
