Prepares current and comparative analysis reports and statements reflecting variations in cost and revenues, and financial condition of the hospital by analyzing net income, expenses, and profit/loss for each hospital department, based on factors such as patient revenue, material and supply costs, and staff salaries and wages. The CFO has ultimate oversight for all fiscal services that involve the business and administrative functions of admissions, registration, accounts receivables, credit and collections, accounts payable, cash flow, charge master descriptions and clinical coding of medical records.
