The new faculty member will have access to substantial research support infrastructure in the Chemistry Department, including staffed NMR, X-ray diffraction, and high-performance computing facilities; a stockroom; and a shared instrumentation laboratory that houses a suite of equipment for chromatographic, spectroscopic, mass spectrometric, gravimetric, and microscopic analysis of samples. The department is in a growth phase, having hired an endowed Welch Chair in Chemistry, two new Associate Professors, and six new Assistant Professors since 2020, and with plans to attain a core of 25 research-active faculty over the next few years.
