Duties include patrolling and monitoring campus buildings and grounds; responding to alarms, disturbances, criminal complaints, accidents, fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies; investigating incidents and preparing reports; enforcing applicable laws, regulations, and college policies; and coordinating with the Georgia State Patrol and other local and state law enforcement agencies as needed. The Campus Police Officer may apprehend suspects, assist with emergency and crisis response activities, inspect facilities and equipment for safety or security concerns, provide escorts and personal protection, direct traffic during special events, provide security for college events, participate in emergency and disaster drills, and perform other duties as assigned.
