While day-to-day activities are handled primarily from a climate-controlled area, there will be times when the Gate Checker will be required to enter the general warehouse area and/or staging, loading, or storage areas to confirm load preparedness, product type, unit condition, perform inspections, assist maintenance personnel, or communicate with drivers, supplier representatives, maintenance personnel, and/or other employees as needed. The Gate Checker is responsible for verifying documentation, managing site access, coordinating truck traffic, completing required inspections, supporting unit processing, providing supplemental maintenance support, and maintaining accurate records.
