Specific responsibilities include: • Project development and implementation • Employee interviewing, hiring, orienting, and supervision • Overseeing marketing and communication relations • Managing and reconciling all program finances, including grants • Overseeing all aspects of resident recruitment through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) • Supporting the Designated Institutional Official to ensure compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements, National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), the Electronic Resident Application Service (ERAS), and the California Medical Boards. This includes:
• Staffing, directing, controlling, and overseeing the patient care and educational efforts of the department • Providing administrative, informational, and clerical support to the residents, faculty, other clinicians, and educators of the program • Overseeing the work of the coordinators as well as executive duties as assigned • Aiding in the creation, monitoring, and reconciliation of the Residency Program annual operating budget, promoting cost-effectiveness through budgetary creation and compliance • Grant management, when available.
