Maintains a safe work area, including places and removes cones, barricades, and warning devices, and/or directs traffic at work sites to ensure the safety of work crew and public; cleans up work sites upon completion of the job; picks up all tools and equipment; secures the job site if returning later; washes vehicles and equipment as needed; cleans up shop areas; maintains tools and equipment in safe and operable conditions; safe use, mix, and dilute all chemicals according to direction labels; and when operating motor vehicles, observe safe driving principles and practices. Experience safely operating specialized trucks/machinery/heavy equipment used within each of the divisions, such as the Hot Mix Patch Truck, Asphalt Distributor, Milling Machine, Grade all, Maintainer, Backhoe/Loader, Skid Loader, as well as other light/heavy equipment engaged in highly complex road reconstruction.
