Overview:
It is the responsibility to of the Kitchen Worker/Utility Cleaner to perform all phases of kitchen cleaning so as to attain safe and sanitary conditions while under the supervision of the Sous Chef and/or F&B Outlet Manager. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.</li><li>Adhere to policies and procedures.</li><li>Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.</li><li>Responsible for all breakdown, feed, catch and proper sorting of all china, silverware and glassware as it is brought to the Dish Room.</li><li>Responsible for washing pots and pans and properly sorting and storing them on the pot shelves.</li><li>Responsible for washing baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards.</li><li>Responsible for cleaning all walls, ceilings, light fixtures, which may require the use of stepladder, and also reporting repairs as needed.</li><li>Responsible for sweeping, mopping and waxing all floors.</li><li>Responsible for hauling trash from the kitchen areas to the Trash Room.</li><li>Responsible for polishing silver, glass and brass in all outlets as needed.</li><li>Responsible for cleaning and maintaining dish machines in all outlets.</li><li>Responsible for cleaning all food and beverage service carts, speed racks, double wide racks, food warmers, queen marys and dish dollies.</li><li>Responsible for washing kettle pots on hot line as needed.</li><li>Responsible for set up of all china glass and silver for all food outlets.</li><li>Responsible for cleaning loading dock bay area with pressure washer.</li><li>Responsible for food and beverage inventory of china, glass, silver and linen.</li><li>Inform Sous Chef and/or F&B Outlet Manager of needed supplies.</li><li>Bring all supplies down from the storage areas.</li><li>Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.</li><li>Turnover/Takeover station according to established procedure.</li><li>Complete special projects as requested by Food and Beverage management.</li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.#</li></ul>

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.<ul><li>Must have good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.</li><li>Must read, write, speak and understand English.</li><li>Must have working knowledge of point of sales systems.</li><li>Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.</li><li>Minimum age requirement is 18.</li></ul>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Experience preferred but will train individual. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills. Language Skills: Must be able to speak and understand English. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: <ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.</li><li>Ability to sit for extended periods of time.</li><li>Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.</li><li>Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.</li><li>Frequently stooping, reaching.</li></ul>WORK ENVIRONMENT: <ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.  There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.</li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.</li><li>Work with others in close spaces.</li><li>Moderate to high noise levels.</li><li>Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.</li></ul>
