Additionally, the role ensures that active research projects are conducted in accordance with FDA, ICH-GCP, and institutional policies and procedures as well as study-specific requirements made by institutional review bodies such as the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Research Conflict of Interest Committee (RCOIC), External Access Data Request (EDAR), etc., and provides re-training, as needed, to ensure ongoing compliance when issues are identified. The Clinical Research Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive training and post-approval monitoring programs across the network of clinical research sites.

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will serve as a Sub-Investigator on clinical research studies and will work closely with the Principal Investigator and clinical research team to support protocol execution, participant safety, and accurate clinical documentation. Works with Quality Department leadership to investigate quality concerns or issues arising from external payer reviews, external clinical benchmarking efforts (NSQIP, UHC, Leapfrog, TJC, etc.), or tracking of surveillance of major outcome measures (e.g., mortality, readmission, and reoperation rates). EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a bachelor's degree in healthcare of a business-related field; or, ten years nursing experience in an academic medical center and three years of clinical quality review related work experience required; Master's degree preferred.
