TYPICAL DUTIES: Gathers necessary information for the physician, initial patient screening works up and assessment and performs certain diagnostic testing required to properly care for the patient in accordance with any eye related problems and the sub-specialty they may be working in. Obtains, performs or checks: ocular history, vital signs, visual acuity, neutralize glasses, automated refractions, pupillary exams, confrontational fields, ocular motility, intraocular pressure.
