Manage complex patients including performing history/ physical examination, patient evaluation and orders per Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) in supportive care treatment regimens, admission of patients, discharges, consults, patient and family education, collaboration and referrals with other health care providers, and provision of education to nursing staff, students, and the community. Ability to recognize and appropriately treat: sepsis, chemotherapy toxicities; graft versus host disease (GVHD), cytokine release syndrome (CRS), immune effector cell-associated enterocolitis (IEC-EC), immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), cardiac myopathies with arrhythmias, and profound cytopenias requiring daily transfusions.
