The radiology nurse assumes all responsibility and accountability for performing a variety of nursing functions that include; scheduling, confirmation, intake, triage, assessment, identification of needs, planning, implementing appropriate interventions, documentation, evaluation, explanation of procedures, checking for and or obtaining consents, obtaining vitals, operating suction, oxygen, and power injectors and maintaining patients'' comfort during radiographic procedures. The nurse is assigned to provide support and assistance during general anesthesia and deep sedation, administer medication and monitor patients during moderate sedation in Radiology for Outpatient, PET Scan, CT scan, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology and X-ray.
