Required Qualifications: Minimum of three years of current neonatal nursing experience in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); current California Registered Nurse (RN) license; current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; proficiency operating clinical equipment, computers, and technology within the nursing practice setting; ability to use materials and supplies judiciously and prevent equipment damage, misuse, or loss; ability to guide, assist, and direct unlicensed assistive personnel in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act and applicable policies and procedures. Additional Information: The Clinical Nurse II independently applies the nursing process, manages complex patient assignments appropriate to skill level, coordinates care across the continuum, engages in clinical problem-solving and conflict resolution, integrates current evidence with clinical expertise and patient preferences, and contributes to safer, high-quality patient- and family-centered care.
