Responsibilities Oversee the safe and accurate distribution narcotic medications to facilitiesManage workflow responsibilities with the Pharmacist In ChargeEvaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administrationSupervise dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeledMaintain inventory control systems for narcotics, to ensure all controlled substances are tracked, accounted for and stored appropriatelyOversee the ordering of controlled substancesEducate, train and document training for all technicians authorized to work in the control roomEnsure security features of the control room are being adhered to and make changes, as neededReporting of all controlled substance theft/loss or major discrepancies to appropriate regulatory authorities and internal management (PIC, Compliance Offer, HR, Operations, etc.)Conduct regular audits of narcotic inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions, as neededInvestigate and resolve medication-related queriesMaintain customer's database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc. The highest priority of each employee is to deliver top-quality service to our customers and colleagues, whether directly or through supporting others.
