STNAs provide bedside nursing care such as; bed baths, shower/tub baths, shampoo, oral hygiene, combing hair, back care, dressing/undressing resident, changing bed linen, shaving resident, grooming nails, checking and changing briefs and/or Chux, provide peri care, AM and HS care and other general care as needed. STNAs also provide general nursing care which includes: positioning, lifting and turning residents/utilizing special equipment such as mechanical lift, assisting in use of bedpans, urinal, commode or bathroom, ambulating the residents, applying special equipment such as braces, slings, ted hose, etc.
