As a contractor Numerical Control Programmer (NCP) on our Machining/Tooling team, you'll drive the NC programming, setup documentation, and machining strategy for complex multi-axis parts used on Client commercial airplanes. This role is ideal for hands-on programmers who enjoy solving machining challenges, optimizing workflows, and seeing their programs executed on the shop floor.

RESPONSIBILITIES: + Use of NX or MasterCam CAD/CAM/CAE program to program CNC parts + Vericut NC files as well as maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets + Cut tools and adjust speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life + Make or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability + Keep products moving and alerting management when production is inhibited + Provide consistent ideas for process improvements + Mentor motivated machinists with programming knowledge + Machine parts occasionally to assist the shop floor when machining is backlogged BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: + High school diploma or equivalency certificate + 5+ years of CNC programming experience using NX or MasterCam software PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + 10+ years of CNC programming experience using NX or MasterCam software + Experience with programming and operating multi axis mill and lathe CNC machines ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: + Must be available for 10-hour shifts. unassisted + Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces + Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: CNC Programmer/Level 4: $46.50 - $57.00/hour CNC Programmer/Level 5: $52.00 - $64.00/hour
