Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The District Science Instructional Coach will: Engage in the FPS coaching cycle with teachers to create a student learning goal and develop, implement, and revise effective instruction, which includes strategic planning with clear learning targets and success criteria, aligned to MA Frameworks, centered on the district core instructional resource, employing formative and summative assessments, using evidence-based instructional practices, and making use of intentional scaffolds to support access to instruction for all learners. Responsible for modeling an asset-based approach that views the diversity, cultural backgrounds, and existing knowledge of students and teachers as valuable resources that can be leveraged to ensure equitable access to opportunities for student learning, including implementing specific strategies for students with special needs, with 504 plans, and English Learners.
