ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Uses reference materials such as the US Navy, Coast Guard and Commercial electrical specification manuals, parts catalogs, wire and cable winches, electrical hacksaws and drills, sand and bead blasters, drill presses, pipe cutters, pipe threaders, cement cutters, cutting torches, megger meters, ammeters, volt-ohm meters, cable locating meters, fault locators, forklifts, boom trucks, PVC benders, one-ton power lift truck, and all equipment as assigned. Ability to plan, lay out and execute electrical work; to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, motors, controls, and other electrical equipment; to read and interpret wiring diagrams and specifications; to read and apply the applicable codes, orders and regulations of national, state, and local regulatory bodies; to make estimates of labor and materials; to keep records and make reports; to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; and to establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted in the workplace.
