If you are selected for hire, prior to your start date in this classification, you will be required to submit to the hiring agency proof of the following: Proof of your High School Diploma or GED, proof of your valid drivers license, proof of your 1st Class Air Conditioning or Refrigeration License issued by the Board of Examiners of Operating Engineers of the City of New Orleans, proof of your 1st Class Boilers License issued by the Board of Examiners of Operating Engineers of the City of New Orleans and proof of your EPA Technician Certification Type I and II or Universal. Public safety employees such as commissioned law enforcement officers hired by the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), firefighters hired by the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD), emergency medical technicians hired by the New Orleans Emergency Medical Services (NOEMS) and the recruits for these positions hired by these departments are excluded from this provision.
