What You’ll Do Day-To-Day:
<ul><li>Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.  </li><li>Plans and directs the timely execution of software development and LINUX system administration activities, as assigned.  </li><li>Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.  </li><li>Ensures adherence to software development standards and procedures.  </li><li>Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.  </li><li>Works interactively with software users to develop strong relationships.  </li><li>Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.  </li><li>Works on special projects, as directed.  Performs other related duties and tasks, as required. </li></ul>Preferred Skills/Knowledge<ul><li>Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in development of others.</li><li>Ability to set priorities and goals and work effectively to meet them.</li><li>Development and deployment of scientific, engineering, or data analysis software applications, preferably for High Performance Computing (HPC) Linux systems. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to apply software engineering best practices with respect to understanding requirements, design, version control, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and documentation.</li><li>Working knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, and/or FORTRAN. Total Rewards Package:
Total Rewards Package          <ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Salary: $99,000 - $134,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. What You'll Bring:
