What You’ll Do Day-To-Day:
<ul><li>Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.  </li><li>Plans and directs the timely execution of software development and LINUX system administration activities, as assigned.  </li><li>Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.  </li><li>Ensures adherence to software development standards and procedures.  </li><li>Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.  </li><li>Works interactively with software users to develop strong relationships.  </li><li>Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.  </li><li>Works on special projects, as directed.  Performs other related duties and tasks, as required. </li></ul>Preferred Skills/Knowledge<ul><li>Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in development of others.</li><li>Ability to set priorities and goals and work effectively to meet them.</li><li>Development and deployment of scientific, engineering, or data analysis software applications, preferably for High Performance Computing (HPC) Linux systems. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to apply software engineering best practices with respect to understanding requirements, design, version control, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and documentation.</li><li>Working knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, and/or FORTRAN. Customer focus and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.</li></ul>

What You'll Bring:
<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering<ul><li>Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.  </li></ul></li><li>Minimum of 5 years of related experience.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.  </li><li>Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data. </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment. </li><li>Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.  </li><li>Displays leadership characteristics.   </li><li>Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.  </li><li>Advanced level of specific software tools and programming skills. </li></ul>

Total Rewards Package:
Total Rewards Package          <ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Salary: $99,000 - $134,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.</li><li>Health & Wellness: Multiple medical plan options, dental & vision coverage, life insurance, long- and short-term disability, and optional supplemental plans (critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, dependent life).</li><li>Retirement: 401(k) with employer match.</li><li>Paid Time Off: Up to 3 weeks of vacation, 8 sick days, and 13 paid holidays annually.</li><li>Extra Perks: Lifestyle spending account, employer paid mental health support, education reimbursement, professional development opportunities, adoption assistance, parental leave, and employee assistance programs.</li></ul>
