The Supervising Engineer supports the wastewater collection, treatment, disposal, and recycled water distribution systems of five communities throughout San Luis Obispo County: Los Osos Water Recycling Facility, which is a 1.2 million gallon per day (mgd) Class IV facility, CSA 18 - San Luis Obispo Country Club wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), which is a 0.1 mgd Class II facility, CSA 7A - Oak Shores WWTP, which is a 0.1 mgd Class I facility, and two smaller sewer-only systems for CSA 1 Nipomo and the County Operations Center. Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field AND seven years of professional level public works, civil engineering, traffic engineering, or land surveying experience; Possession of a valid California Certificate of Registration as a civil engineer, traffic engineer, land surveyor or other special licensure AND four years professional civil engineering, traffic engineering, or land surveying experience.
