This position will have oversight of the accounting function and will be responsible for all financial reporting. <br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br/><ul><li>Manage all accounting activities within the sites to ensure that financial processes and information are accurate, timely, and contain adequate internal controls in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles </li><li>Direct site accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions </li><li>Management of the revenue cycle to achieve accurate and timely billing, revenue recognition, and collections </li><li>Review and ensure that purchase orders are placed in a timely manner </li><li>Manage general ledger and journal entry postings </li><li>Ensure accurate and timely month end close </li><li>Verify inventory and calculation of amount in stock </li><li>Generate capital project requests and supporting analysis </li><li>Review monthly operating financial reports and provide variance to budget and prior year analysis </li><li>Prepare annual budgets </li><li>Provide operations analysis and improvement recommendations to site General Manager, Regional Vice President, and Area Finance Director </li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting from accredited institution </li><li>CPA (active status) and/or MBA preferred </li><li>5 years of accounting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred </li><li>Accounting software experience, preferably MAS 500 or other Sage ERP platform </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills </li><li>Must be able to travel up to 8% of the time </li></ul><strong>Personal Attributes:</strong><ul><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Focused on deadlines </li><li>Well organized </li><li>Positive attitude and team player </li><li>High integrity </li></ul><br/><strong>EEO Statement:</strong><br/><br/>Liberty Tire Recycling is an equal opportunity employer.
