Compensation: $47,840 - $85,000 yearly Responsibilities: * Assist attorneys in preparing and maintaining legal documents, pleadings, and discovery to ensure seamless case management * Coordinate with clients and other parties to gather necessary information and documentation for probate cases * Draft and file legal documents with courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines * Maintain organized case files and databases, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible * Conduct legal research to support attorneys in developing case strategies and arguments * Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and answering inquiries to enhance client satisfaction * Answer telephones, make interoffice memos, and coordinate potential new client calls with attorneys * Assist the team as needed Qualifications: * An ABA-approved paralegal certification * Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Clio), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems * Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing * Receptive to feedback and can demonstrate the ability to incorporate said feedback into future workflow * Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities * Ability to organize and prioritize work * Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment * Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively within a team * Ability to synthesize information to prioritize and organize tasks * Ability to work in the office five days per week * Demonstrates a high level of professionalism * Flexibility and willingness to perform a wide range of tasks extending beyond routine expectations * Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality * Excellent organizational skills and demonstrates close attention to detail * Ability to work well with others, including clients * Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials; relevant work experience a plus * Available to work overtime * Experience working in estate, probate, and/or litigation is preferred * Typing speed of 65wpm+ About Company Our law firm was established over 30 years ago in Torrance, CA.
