DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to: Assists students, and provides safe access to and from school; Controls the flow of traffic to allow the safe passage of students and school busses; Communicates school policies and enforcement procedures to students, personnel and visitors to ensure understanding and the potential consequences of violation; Intervenes in potential emergency situations to avoid/minimize injury to involved parties; Reports observations and/or incidents relating to specific students (e.g. The School Crossing Guard w/Traffic Duty will provide for the safe movement of children to and from school when crossing public roadways and intersections by observing gaps in the traffic, and leading the children across the roadway or intersection.
