Bridging the gap between staff and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, they utilize student data to guide instructional improvements in alignment with Urban Doves core mission and values. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:Urban Dove Team Charter School (UD Team) is a distinctive network of sports-based high schools catering to over-aged, under-credited youth. We fuse a robust academic curriculum with sports-based youth development, ensuring our graduates receive a diploma, a stepping stone for higher education, and essential job skills. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:In-Class Support:
• Provide comprehensive support to all teachers, including content and special education instructors, through activities such as observation, modeling, collaborative planning sessions, and regular feedback.
• Conduct formal observations for accountability purposes.Co-Planning Support:
• Collaborate with teaching teams to facilitate effective co-planning routines and cultivate a positive teaching culture.Data-Informed Instruction:
• Lead sessions with groups of teachers to analyze student data, incorporating various metrics such as Reading and Math Inventories, Regents exams, NYSESLAT scores, report card grades, attendance, and student classwork, to inform instruction, student feedback, and grading practices.Positive Behavior Management:
• Support the development and implementation of classroom positive behavior incentive management plans.Instructional Model Implementation:

• Collaborate with the DCI to act as a liaison between teachers and curriculum specialists and literacy specialists.Professional Development:
• Work with the DCI and MSEM to create and implement a professional development plan for instructional staff, empowering them to share best practices through workshops, intervisitation, and collaboration.
• Coordinate with the Charter Center Collaborative to ensure teachers attend professional development sessions for continuous professional growth.Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
• Meet weekly with the DCI to communicate progress on professional goals and manage and maintain department Google Drive folders.
• Act as a liaison between teachers and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction (DCI) to ensure effective communication and support throughout the academic year.Organizational Support:
• Support teachers in organizational and task management aspects to enhance efficiency.Student Support:

Overview:
The Administrator’s primary responsibility is to develop, implement and monitor the curriculum for the middle-school and high-school level academic programs of the Asbury Park School District and GEAR UP (College Bound) Program to ensure that the curriculum meets with the programs stated goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Develop middle-school and high-school level curriculum for study skills classes and create Response to Intervention (RTI) plans and goals.</li><li>Coordinate testing, model lessons for instructors, and implement the math and language arts programs.</li><li>Identify and utilize state and local resources within the community and maintain positive relationships.</li><li>Use data analysis consistently to target and identify students for sustained reading and mathematics instruction.</li><li>Work with grades K-12, enrichment or extension classes.</li><li>Assist students with meeting their academic goals.</li><li>Develop and revise Instructional Plan to meet Performance Standards.</li><li>Develop a Self-Assessment process in accordance with program guidelines.</li><li>Design and maintain a middle school ELA including resources and curriculum documents.</li><li>Collaborate with counselors to evaluate students’ reading comprehension levels and build RTI plans.</li><li>Prepare to present the products to the classroom teachers during in service training through activities and PowerPoint presentation.</li><li>Develop and publish comprehensive curriculum standards for Math, Science, and English education, grades K-12.</li><li>Produce professional quality teaching aids with PowerPoint.</li><li>Differentiate curriculum for low-level readers including students with reading and math disabilities.</li><li>Teach lessons using various media techniques and programs.</li><li>Graph student progress, report for IEP’s and trimester progress to improve student literacy by offering reading instruction to children with dyslexia.</li><li>Develop requirements for educational statistics and geometry software.</li><li>Plan and organize public awareness events to promote awareness and ascertain the needs in the Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:  Education: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in education required. Master’s degree preferred.</li></ul> Experience: <ul><li>3 years of experience with K-12 curriculum design; thorough understanding of differentiation and common core curriculum standards.</li></ul> Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: <ul><li>Understanding of Assessment & Evaluation / Unit Planning / Lesson Planning.</li><li>Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal networking skills with experience in building business and community relationships.</li><li>Experience working with urban underserved youth.</li><li>Strong grammar and writing abilities are also required.</li><li>Computer literacy skills at an intermediate level with the demonstrated ability to utilize and apply Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as specialized software programs and computer applications.</li><li>Ability to deliver speaking presentations to small and large audiences.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations:  Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities.
