No Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred Certified Surgical Technologist [CST] - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred Experience Experience at time of hire: Three (3) years of diversified experience in the operating/procedure room 3-5 years required and Experience scrubbing in multiple specialties; five (5) years of experience preferred, and one (1) year of experience working and leading teams 3-5 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room. May help set up the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.
