Ensures facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition; monitors CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Software) to ensure tasks are performed in a timely manner; performs preventative maintenance on all equipment; plows, removes snow, and salts parking lots and sidewalks; maintains heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in working order; performs minor repairs to electrical and plumbing systems; performs a variety of carpentry tasks; troubleshoots, repairs, and adjusts locks and doors; maintains hand and power tools in working condition; ensures that the shop and work areas are clean and organized; maintains fire extinguisher service schedule; moves or arranges for moving of furniture and equipment as requested. Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled electrical installation and repair work having a basic understanding of the National Electric Code in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs and/or replace lighting systems and/or fixtures; inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions; regularly tests and verifies working condition of safety equipment including fire alarm, emergency lighting, and intercom systems.
