Required Qualifications: • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications engineering, fiber network design, or outside plant construction • Experience supporting OSP fiber builds from walkout through closeout • Experience working with Rights-of-Way (ROW), private easements, and existing utilities (water, sewer, gas, electric, pole infrastructure) • Experience with utility poles and pole attachments • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, conduit prints, fiber maps, and as-built drawings • Experience using GIS or fiber design tools such as Bentley Fiber, Vetro, ArcGIS, OSP Insight, 3-GIS, QGIS, or similar platforms • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, Bluebeam, Google Earth, and related software tools • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. The Fiber Design Field Engineer II plays a critical role in site walkouts, field revisions, construction inspections, and as-built validation to support efficient and accurate network deployment.
