The group frequently works with other members of the Navy Propulsor and Shafting Team including Electric Boats shock, hydrodynamics, and ship signatures departments, Pennsylvania State University Applied Research Laboratory, and Navy laboratories. The group will support concept design development and engineering studies for propulsor/shafting-specific programs sponsored by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division and the Office of Naval Research.
