Reporting directly to the Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI), the Assistant Vice President Executive Director is a member of the OVPRI leadership team and leads a team of professional and student staff to translate complex scientific data, faculty achievements, and internal OVPRI functions into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including faculty, staff, students, policymakers, donors, media, and the general public. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Research and Innovation, this senior leader sits at the heart of the universitys research enterprise translating bold ideas, breakthrough science, and faculty excellence into compelling stories that influence policymakers, attract funding, inspire partners, and elevate VCUs national and global reputation.
