Come be a part of the revolution!  About the Role: Assistant Director of NursingAs an Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Heritage House in Atlantic. Duties include: <ul><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Lead and optimize nursing staff operations by developing schedules, training and mentoring employees, delegating responsibilities, and fostering professional growth through regular feedback and evaluations.</li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Shape the care environment by developing and updating clinical policies and procedures, coordinating care with other departments, and enhancing the overall quality and continuity of resident care.</li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Serve as a vital resident advocate—evaluating healthcare needs, facilitating care planning with families, and ensuring physical, emotional, and social well-being are prioritized.</li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Drive quality assurance and compliance by overseeing infection control, conducting in-service training, and supporting survey readiness and regulatory inspections.</li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Be a hands-on leader—providing leadership support in the absence of the Director of Nursing, guiding restorative nursing efforts, and stepping in as needed to support team success.</li></ul>Open Shifts Available:<ul><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Monday-Friday with flexible hours</li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Rotating On-Call schedule throughout the month</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Knowledgeable in nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care</li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">Strong supervisory and leadership skills</li><li style="vertical-align:middle;color:black">State of Iowa RN License</li></ul>Community Location: 1200 Brookridge Cir, Atlantic, IA 50022<ul></ul>Heritage House, nestled on 17 acres in Atlantic, Iowa, offers a modern farmhouse aesthetic and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Experience: + 2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management. + 2+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $2+million. + 2+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements. + 2+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees. + Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. + Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Skills and Demands: + Ability to work various shift times to include days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus. + Exceptional customer service, positive rapport building, expert salesmanship, and ensuring satisfaction by managing operations and employee-vehicle deployment. + Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. + Effective teamwork skills. + Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds.
