Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
Supervisor, Dispatch - Transportation As a Supervisor, Dispatcher you will be responsible for receiving dispatch requests and partnering with relevant personnel to notify drivers of specific pickup or delivery dates/times for customer waste materials. This role will work collectively with drivers and other Arcwood team members to ensure customers are serviced on time. <ul><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times</li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Receives dispatch requests and partners with Dispatcher II or III to notify drivers of specific pickup or delivery dates and times for customer industrial waste materials; ensures customers are serviced on time </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Dispatches loads consistent with routing requests and according to Arcwood and DOT procedures </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Develops and maintains records of activities including tracking shipments, roll-off container inventory, and researching waste streams for special projects, quotes, and equipment utilization among other operations </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Generate weekly and monthly load reports and others as requested; interfaces with other Company operations by scheduling additional equipment or drivers as needed </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Assists in the coordination of transportation services for internal Coordinators to ensure customer needs are met</li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Monitors loading, reloading and dispatching of special material not conforming to standard procedures </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Coordinates transportation activities between service centers to maximize Arcwood assets </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Maintains 24-hour availability to manage driver issues or equipment repair requests as needed, as well as manage accident minimization efforts </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Offers clear, legible communications via electronic, written or verbal methods </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Provides supervision to direct reports and maintains the ability to effectively manage issues that arise while team members are away from home or the terminal </li><li style="margin-left:0.25in">Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization</li></ul>
