Overview:
Kimley-Horn is looking for an Experienced Civil CAD Operator or Designer to join our MEP team in St. Pete, FL (Florida). This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards for complex electrical systems for multiple project types such as office, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, & hospitality projects.</li><li>Develop technical drawings and plans </li><li>Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks</li><li>Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes</li><li>May supervise and train REVIT and CAD drafters</li><li>Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control</li><li>Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School Degree (Preferred Associates Degree (or higher) with emphasis on Drafting and Design Technology from an accredited technical institution or college in engineering</li><li>3+ years of electrical experience in multiple project types such as office, hospitality, retail, mixed use, highrise design, multifamily, and some solar design</li><li>Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn</li><li>Ability to work independently and with a team</li><li>Willingness to mentor and teach others</li><li>Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter</li><li>Understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards</li><li>Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD. </li></ul>
