Summer Intensive Nurse Extern Essential Functions: The Summer Intensive Nurse Extern (beginning May 10, 2027 - July 16, 2027) will gain experience in a realistic professional nursing work environment by assisting in the delivery of both direct and indirect nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse within the scope of practice of unlicensed, assistive personnel. Cardiac/Pulmonary: Telemetry, Oxygen Therapy, Respiratory Treatments, BiPAP/CPAP, ICU & PCU (Care for patients with complex conditions affecting heart and lung including heart failure, COPD, pneumonia, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, and respiratory failure).
