POSITION PURPOSE: To provide services to complement and support the general education curriculum; to address curriculum needs of students with disabilities in the basic skills areas; to provide support services to students in general education, with the goal of developing socially and economically independent adults, and to provide consultation services to general education teachers. Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility for the Learning Disabled (LD) program, the Mildly Mentally Disabled (MiMD) program, and the program for Emotionally Disabled via administering, processing, and interpreting achievement tests and by observing students in classrooms.
